Juan Soria

Juan Cruz Soria is originally from Argentina and the former Men’s Tennis Assistant Coach at the University of South Alabama. Juan played 3 years at the University of Texas-Pan American where he was chosen 2015 Player of the Year of the Western Athletic Conference and Male Student-Athlete of the Year (UTPA), while playing at the top of the lineup, in both singles and doubles. Juan played his last year at the University of South Alabama, on the top 2 positions, breaking the top 125 ITA Singles Ranking. The 2017 Sun Belt Conference Newcomer of the Year helped the team achieved the highest school ranking of #27 by the ITA. Prior coming to college, Juan was top 10 in Juniors in Argentina, and played several Main Draw Futures and Challengers all over South America, competing against ATP player such as Horacio Zeballos. After 3 years as the USA Jaguars Men’s Tennis Assistant Coach and 2 NCAA Division I National Championship appearances, he has been teaching tennis for the past 6 years in different countries, such Argentina, England and the US.
