program OVERVIEW
Not every tennis player/student will have a career goal. However, for the ones that want to reach a high level, the development of a step by step career plan on early stages is crucial for an optimal development of the player. In order to achieve that goal, BHTC has developed a Homeschool tennis program with all the tools available to reach our the players' objectives.
The process will start with the player's evaluation where skills and individual goals are identified. Following to the evaluation, our Tennis Pros along with the player will create a personalized plan that fits the player. The idea of this plan is to work on the player's weaknesses and to improve his/her strengths.
BHTC knows that the athletic side of a player is as important as the academic side. BHTC is working together with Laurel Springs and Dwight Prep School to provide the best academic experience and services.

ACADEMIC OVERVIEW
Brunswick Hills Tennis Center encourages hard work and perseverance in their success in the classroom and on the court. Brunswick Hills Tennis Center has two private college preparatory online schooling options for our student-athletes; Laurel Springs and Dwight Prep School.
The Homeschool program at BHTC begins with morning tennis training and a mid-afternoon study hall/lunch where students’ attention is directed to their online courses. To follow, a late tennis and fitness session. Similar to a traditional educational model, student-athletes are expected to complete any assignments not completed during their school day, at home. BHTC Academic Coach coordinates with the coaches to evaluate and plan each student’s workload and training schedules to maximize both training and academic times.
COLLEGE PLACEMENT
We understand the importance of the college recruiting process and finding the right fit for all of our student athletes. Our team of coaches work with each player and family to put them in an optimal situation to be recruited that best fits their academic and athletic needs. Brunswick Hills Tennis Center utilizes a vast network of collegiate coaches to assist our players. BHTC will create a player profile for students interested in any future scholarship programs.

Laurel Spring’s education program is designed for the college prep student who wishes to grow and excel academically and personally, while maintaining a schedule that provides the elite junior athlete with the flexibility necessary to adequately train and compete at the highest levels in their desired sport. Laurel Springs offers more than 240 courses, including Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors options. The majority of our high school courses have been approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the University of California (UC).
NCAA approved courses are an important factor when evaluating online high schools for athletes. Most college athletic programs are regulated by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), an organization with rules and regulations on eligibility, recruiting, and financial aid. Colleges and universities are members of a division according to the size and scope of their athletic programs. Laurel Springs can help with academic planning for students who wish to pursue athletics at Division I or II colleges, as most of our courses are NCAA approved. Laurel Springs has a variety of resources to educate students about NCAA procedures. Our School Counseling Department has a Student Athlete Manager on staff to help answer questions about the eligibility process as well. Scholarships
BHTC is fully committed with our players' success, which is why we offer limited-merit scholarships for players that excel. BHTC understands that many players have conditions to be top-players, but in many cases, they lack the required economic support. BHTC wants to fill that economic gap that some of our players have. These selected players need to have all the elements that a professional player have. This is not limited to their tennis skills, it also includes how they behave as people, and their academic performance.
