Coach Rene is one of our international coaches from Morelia, Mexico. He is trilingual (English, Spanish and French). Rene holds PTR (Professional Tennis Rating) in both juniors and high performance and USTA Net Generation. After he graduated College, he became Assistant Director at Reunion Country Club in Madison, Mississippi from 2015 to 2017. From 2017-2020 he has been Junior Development Director and Tournament Director at BHTC. Coach Rene was in charge of the USA qualifier of “Les Petits” at BHTC. He directed all the staff for warm ups and event planning for junior players. This tournament was for the best U14 players in USA. Rene is involved in all USTA and UTR tournaments in Eastern NJ.  Rene is BHTC’s passionate, hardworking, never stops, experienced Tennis Director.

  

Overall, coach Rene is very enthusiastic about working with any player that will put the work and dedication. He works on aspects of the players game. Rene will improve in all areas that help develop a good tennis player such as footwork, coordination, stroke technique, balance and both physical and mental training. 

 

Coach Rene tennis history includes a vast tennis playing experience. As a freshman at Reinhardt University, he received received AAC All-Conference first team award playing #2 singles and #1 doubles.
Then, he transferred to Belhaven University where he was the Captain of the tennis team 2016-2017. He was awarded All-American 1st team in tennis with a 15-0 W/L streak, playing number #1 singles and #1 doubles in NCAA D3. After graduation coach Rene played in the $10,000 to $15,000 ITF futures tour since 2015.

 

Rene has practiced and worked as a sparring for WTA pro athletes in the WTA Challenger Tour. Playing with Marianna Zakarlyuk (UKR) current WTA #512 in the world, Sophia Chang (USA) current WTA #154 in the world in singles and #183 in the world in doubles, and Sanaz Marand (USA) current WTA #503 in the world in singles and #208 in doubles.
